Based in Essex, I help brands and businesses across the UK get their message out there in the best way to appeal to their ideal clients.

But this wasn’t always me.

For a while I was a journalist, then editor - making it from a tiny weekly newspaper in a tiny Essex town to a top national news website (I was very tired, I mean look at me).

But I missed doing ‘the thing’ - talking to people, getting enthused by their stories and their missions, making their lives a little bit easier, writing.

So I set off on my own to share what I’ve learnt about sniffing out a story, to help businesses work out their own angle - and the format to tell it. Something that helps position them in the market, build credibility, and be heard in the noise.

I call it going from confusion to clarity because unpacking how a business got to its current state can be messy. The topics can be complicated (and I love that). But together we work out the way forward with a set plan or cracking bit of content to move your business to the next stage. I love delving into how businesses position themselves.

As journalists we’re trained to be generalists, so I can quickly turn my hand to most industries. A few I’ve written for are: personal finance, sustainability, professional services, energy, beauty manufacturing, travel, leadership coaching, and wellness - quite the smorgasbord!

My curiosity takes me travelling around the world and the UK, and when I’m not planning my next trip I’ll be either be getting fresh air or curled up with a book and the latest Oscar-tipped films.
